WILD WEST VETERINARY CONFERENCE
October 15-19 in Reno, Nevada
Popular Veterinary Technician Academy,
Client Service and Leadership Tracks Offered
Reno, Nevada, May 5, 2008 - Looking for ways to earn Continuing Education
credits in a fun, friendly and convenient environment? Once again, Wild
West Veterinary Conference (WWVC) will feature top veterinarians and industry
leaders including respected researchers who will provide more than 300
Continuing Education classes, workshops and labs.
Program tracks include Complementary & Alternative Medicine, Equine, Exotic,
Food Animal, Practice Leadership, Small Animal, Veterinary Technician and more.
Scheduled for October 15-19 at the beautiful Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, WWVC
provides a comprehensive, innovative educational program and exhibition marketplace
all under one roof.
This year, WWVC is adding two core modules to the acclaimed Wild West Veterinary
Technician Academy (WWVTA). The WWVTA encompasses four Core Modules--two days each,
including lectures and workshops that build on each other and help technicians
prepare for the National Veterinary Technician National Exam (VNTEVTNE). The first
two modules were launched at last year's WWVC, and in 2008 modules three and four
have been added to complete the curriculum of the WWVTA. The academy allows
attendees the flexibility to choose any of the modules, depending on their experience
and knowledge base.
Back by popular demand, WWVC also will be continuing the Front Office Training
Track "New Ideas in Client Service" for front office staff, and "The
Changing Face of Veterinary Medicine" a symposium focusing on leadership skills
for women in veterinary medicine. Topics include team building, conflict resolution,
and management.
This year's conference kicks off with the Disney Institute's special keynote
leadership session on Wednesday evening, October 15. The Disney Institute seminar,
"Leadership Excellence" is designed to energize, inspire and motivate you
and your staff. Disney's acclaimed professional development team is bringing its
experiences to the WWVC. You won't want to miss it!
Unlike most conferences its size, the WWVC offers educational seminars, workshops
and labs near an exhibition marketplace all under one roof at the resort located in
the stunning Reno/Lake Tahoe area — "America's Adventure Placece."
The Wild West Veterinary Conference offers a great educational value for veterinarians,
technicians, practice managers and students seeking innovative, practical solutions
in their continuing education.
