Integrated Team-Based Training Program for Veterinary Practices: A new and exciting value-added offering at this year's conference is the integrated, team-based training program for veterinary practices - is included in a full team conference registration. This team-specific group training will be facilitated on Friday morning, October 16 and led by Dr. Tom Catanzaro and Dr. Thom Haig.

Integrated Team-Based Training Program for veterinary practices

  • Bring four key members from your practice to the WWVC:
    • Front Office (registered for Front Office Training, Wednesday & Thursday)
    • Veterinary Technician (registered in one of the four Core Technician Academy Tracks, Wednesday & Thursday)
    • Practice Manager (full conference registration)
    • Medical Director/Owner (full conference registration)
  • Participating practice team members will receive Action Plans prior to their session to capture great ideas and get the most from this team-based education.
  • Your team will attend a dynamic, practice-changing, team-specific training session on Friday morning (October 16), followed by a practice-specific session to consolidate, brainstorm, and tailor individual Action Plans to a combined and sequenced Practice Plan.
  • The Team will take away a jointly-facilitated Action Plan tailored to your practice, including an implementation time line and key member buy-in.

Drs. Catanzaro and Haig have 15 years of experience presenting team-based leadership programs. By involving key members from all practice zones in the planning, success rates for practice growth actually triple in program implementation!

Wednesday, October 14 and Thursday, October 15

Celebrate National Veterinary Technician Week by registering for WWVC's highly rated Veterinary Technician Academy. The Academy encompasses four Core Modules, two days of lectures and workshops, building on each other. This provides participants with the framework and study materials that, along with practical in-clinic experience, will enhance technical skills and knowledge. The WWVC has designed these Core Modules to assist Veterinary Technicians in preparing for their state certification. Box lunches are provided each day to facilitate networking as well as further education. All four modules are presented each year and veterinary technicians may take one module per year until completed. Priority registration is given to returning technicians. Be sure to register early. Registration is limited to 25 students per module.

Chuckwagon Breakfasts/Luncheons

This very unique educational experience provides the opportunity to learn from one of our outstanding speakers in a small group setting over breakfast or lunch. Chuckwagons are typically on scientific topics of a practical nature. One hour of extra CE will be awarded for these sessions. Chuckwagon events must have 10 registrants to be held and the $40 fee includes a meal.
